My Levels

Privacy Policy

The short version: My Levels does not collect anything. What you enter stays yours: on your device, and backed up privately to your own iCloud so you never lose it. Nothing ever reaches the developer: no accounts, no analytics, no ads, and no third-party code.

What the app stores, and where

Everything you enter into My Levels (skills, timed sessions, manual entries, goals, weekly plans, streaks, settings) is stored in the app's own data on your device. The app also keeps a backup of that data in your own private iCloud (through Apple's CloudKit), so a reinstall or a new iPhone brings everything back. That backup lives in your iCloud account and only you can access it; the developer cannot read it. There is no account to sign into and no server of ours; the only network path the app has is your own iCloud.

If you use the app's widgets or Live Activity, the app writes a small snapshot of the running timer into a private shared container on your device so the widget can show it. That container is on your device, shared only between the app and its own widget.

What we can see

Nothing. There is no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising, and no third-party SDK of any kind inside the app. The developer cannot see your skills, your hours, your journal, or even whether you have installed the app.

Purchases

Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store, under Apple's privacy policy. Payment details never reach the app and never reach the developer. The app checks, on your device, whether the purchase exists in order to unlock the unlimited tier.

Notifications

If you turn on the daily nudge, the notification is scheduled entirely on your device by iOS. There is no push notification server.

Deleting your data

Deleting a skill in the app deletes its data from the device. Deleting the app deletes the app's data from the device.

If the iCloud backup was active, its copy also remains in your private iCloud, and reinstalling the app restores data from it automatically. To remove that copy as well, open iOS Settings, tap your name, then iCloud, then Manage Account Storage, and delete My Levels there. The same screen lets you see the backup at any time.

Children

My Levels is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted with a new effective date. The app itself does not change how it handles data: everything is stored on your device, backed up only to your own private iCloud. Nothing ever reaches the developer, and that is the design.
